Kevin McCullar Jr. will return to Kansas for the 2023-24 season, the program announced Wednesday. Here’s what you need to know:

McCullar declared for the NBA Draft and participated in the NBA Combine following the 2022-23 season, but elected to return to Kansas for his final year of eligibility.

He was a redshirt senior at Kansas in 2022-23 after transferring from Texas Tech. He started 33 of 34 games for the Jayhawks last season, averaging 10.7 points, 7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest.

McCullar was a two-time Naismith Defensive Player of the Year semifinalist in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
