The Nationals have avoided arbitration with star outfielder Juan Soto and first baseman Josh Bell, reports Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Soto will make $17.1M, while Bell will collect an even $10M.

It’s a massive second-year number for Soto, who had been projected by MLBTR contributor Matt Swartz for a $16.2M mark. That’s a reflection of the 23-year-old’s otherworldly track record, as he’s coming off as good a year at the plate as anyone in the game.
