Marcus Stroman has come out and said publicly that he does not wish to be traded from the Chicago Cubs. However, sports is a business and the Cubs will do what's right for them as an organization.

If they don't find themselves in a position to make a push for the postseason, they could be sellers at the upcoming MLB trade deadline.

Stroman is making $25 million in 2023 and is set for a $21 million player option for 2024. This year, he's been solid in 73 innings pitched accumulating a 2.59 ERA, a 0.99 WHIP and a 7.6K/9.

There would be plenty of teams that would gladly add him to the rotation including the following:

Toronto Blue Jays

Stroman began his MLB career with the Blue Jays, and a return to his former team could make sense. The Blue Jays have a talented young core and could benefit from adding a reliable starting pitcher like Stroman to strengthen their rotation.

San Francisco Giants

Marcus Stroman's ground-ball-inducing pitching style could be well-suited for the pitcher-friendly Oracle Park, and he could bolster their rotation alongside their other solid starters.

Seattle Mariners

The Mariners are an up-and-coming team with a promising young core and a need for starting pitching. Adding Stroman to their rotation could provide veteran leadership and stability as they continue their push for contention.

Los Angeles Angels

The Angels have struggled with their pitching staff in recent years, and adding Stroman could help address that need. With a potent offense led by stars like Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani, the Angels could benefit from a reliable starter like Stroman to improve their chances of success.
