The Cleveland Guardians are in advanced extension negotiations with multiple players, league sources told The Athletic. Here’s what you need to know:

Andrés Giménez, Amed Rosario, Triston McKenzie, Steven Kwan and Trevor Stephan are among the players the team has discussed a deal with this spring, the sources said.

The team is working to get the deals done before Opening Day.

Cleveland had a similar process last spring in signing José Ramírez, Emmanuel Clase and Myles Straw to new deals in the week leading up to the opener.
