For some NBA franchises, simply winning isn’t enough. The goal is dominance.
For a long time, that was the mentality of the Los Angeles Lakers. This organization has dominated long stretches of NBA history. For several decades, any outcome short of an NBA championship was a disappointing one.
That’s been the same outlook the Golden State Warriors have had for the last decade. They’ve been a dominant force in the league, winning a large number of championships in that timeframe.
Even when the Warriors don’t win, they usually represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals. In 2019-20, the Lakers made an exception to that rule.
With that said, they don’t appear to be close to getting back to their title-winning ways at the moment.
Could they send Anthony Davis to the Warriors this summer as a result?
