Speaking Friday on WFAN in New York, local radio host Evan Roberts said that Scherzer is potentially dealing with a hamstring injury. Roberts noted that Mets manager Buck Showalter would not commit to Scherzer pitching on Opening Day, which was indeed the case this week.
