It’s quiet around here…a little too quiet. The NBA trade deadline is nearly upon us. What will happen next?

No, we’re not in any immediate danger. We’re talking about Kevin Durant. Shouldn’t he have had something to say by now?

After all, Kyrie Irving was just traded to the Dallas Mavericks. The deal left his Brooklyn Nets with a deep, solid roster, but no co-star for him. Historically speaking, Durant prefers to have a co-star.

Who knows what might be brewing? It’s entirely possible that the Nets are about to make another big move. That move could be designed to get Durant a co-star.

On the other hand, it could be a move that sends him elsewhere.

Like, for example, this deal that sends him to the Boston Celtics.

Brooklyn Nets Receive: G/F Jaylen Brown, G Derrick White, 2025 First-Round Pick (BOS), 2027 First-Round Pick (BOS)

Boston Celtics Receive: F Kevin Durant
