On the plus side, Utah Jazz fans have had a lot to read over the past several months. Unfortunately, most of it has been about the inevitable dissolution of their core in the NBA offseason.
Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert can’t seem to get along. The team won 49 games and got eliminated in the first round of the NBA playoffs, falling considerably short of expectations. Stop us if you’ve heard this before (especially if you’re a Jazz fan).
This team is as likely to blow up their core as any in the National Basketball Association this summer. If they’re hosting a fire sale, Bojan Bogdanovic is a player who should pique the interest of several contending clubs.
After all, what winning team couldn’t use another sharpshooting wing? Bogdanovic is a lethal off-ball threat who can create opportunities for himself when he’s called upon to.
He’s not necessarily a strong defender, but he’s serviceable enough on that end to be playoff-proof.
That should suffice for the Philadelphia 76ers. They need wing depth. Here are two trade packages that land Bogey in the City of Brotherly Love.
Utah Jazz Receive: G Danny Green, G Matisse Thybulle, G Isiah Joe
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: F Bojan Bogdanovic
For the Utah Jazz, this trade basically boils down to Bogdanovic-for-Thybulle. They’ll only be interested in making it if they’re launching a rebuild this summer.
