Real Madrid was dealt the death blow in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe when the French striker announced his intentions to remain at PSG. It had long been assumed that Mbappe would be playing at Real Madrid in 2022-23, but that’s no longer the case, leaving the club searching for another top-tier target to bring to town and pair with Karim Benzema. The latest rumors have linked Real Madrid to five attacking players, all of whom the club feels could suffice as replacements following the Mbappe decision.

According to Manu Sainz, Real Madrid is considering approaches for the likes of Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski, Benfica’s Darwin Nunez, RB Leipzig standout Christopher Nkunku, and AC Milan starlet Rafael Leao.
