The Boston Celtics recently completed a sweep of the Brooklyn Nets to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals in the 2022 NBA playoffs. They have every appearance of a powerhouse.

If these playoffs go as they’re hoping, they won’t be making any drastic moves this summer.

If they don’t, this front office may feel they’re a piece away. Damian Lillard could be that piece.

The notion of Lillard, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown on the same team is, frankly, terrifying. They may enter the 2022-23 season as prohibitive favorites to win the NBA championship.

The fit, on paper, is clean. All three men are devastating both on and off the ball. With the Celtics rostering a platoon of capable defenders, they could be a two-way force. That is, even more than they already are.

If the Celtics are big game hunting this summer, and Damian Lillard is on the market, here are two trades that land him with the Boston Celtics

Portland Trail Blazers Receive: Derrick White, Al Horford, Grant Williams, 2023 First-Round Pick (BOS), 2025 First-Round Pick (BOS), 2027 First-Round Pick (BOS)

Boston Celtics Receive: Damian Lillard

Consider this the prerequisite “draft picks trade."
