Claude Giroux said he understands he has a difficult decision ahead of the 2022 NHL Trade Deadline on March 21.

The forward has played his 15-season NHL career with the Philadelphia Flyers, including the past 10 as captain. But with the Flyers (18-30-11) last in the Metropolitan Division and Giroux in the final season of an eight-year contract, there is a chance the 34-year-old could be traded.

However, with Giroux's contract containing a no-move clause, Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher said in January it would be Giroux's decision on whether he remains with Philadelphia after the 3 p.m. ET deadline.
