North Carolina will play No. 21 Kentucky on Saturday in Las Vegas after both teams' previously scheduled opponents canceled games due to COVID-19 issues, the programs announced Friday. The game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET.

The impromptu game comes after No. 4 UCLA canceled Saturday's game versus North Carolina due to COVID-19 issues within the Bruins' program, it said Friday. UCLA's team-related activities have been paused, and the status of future games is to be determined.

Kentucky's game with Ohio State was canceled on Thursday due to positive COVID-19 cases in the Buckeyes program. The game will not be rescheduled. Both of the canceled matchups were set to take place at the CBS Sports Classic in Las Vegas.
