Amid the ongoing Damian Lillard-Miami Heat, one of the recent reports doing the rounds is the possibility of the Heat reuniting Jimmy Butler with Philadelphia 76ers' MVP Joel Embiid.
The Athletic's Zach Harper proposed the thought in his latest column saying a reunion could be one of the routes that Heat may look at.
"Daryl Morey is already processing Philly getting subpar value for Harden. However, a trade for Embiid (as awful as that might sound) is eased by Miami offering Bam Adebayo, a versatile four-time All-Star and two-time All-Defense selection. An Adebayo-centered trade package to reunite Butler and Embiid could be an easier pill to swallow. It would end any pursuit of Lillard due to lack of assets, but such a pursuit could also not yield Lillard at all."
While this would seem an exciting proposition, it would mean Miami sacrificing Bam Adebayo, whom they made it clear to other teams that he was "untouchable" in trade talks along with Butler.
