The Philadelphia Flyers and St. Louis are working on a trade that would send Kevin Hayes to the Blues, according to The Athletic’s Jeremy Rutherford.

The trade is thought to include several players from each team. The Blues have three first-round draft picks in the draft — 10, 25 and 29. Such a trade would jump-start the Flyers’ rebuild, which is how general manager Daniel Briere said how the team would proceed.

A source confirmed the Flyers-Blues trade conversation and that the deal did involve multiple players from each side.

Briere said two days ago that Hayes had value to the team and would be hard to replace. Hayes has been the subject of trade rumors for months.
