Ohio State football added another four-star prospect to its 2024 recruiting class with the commitment of linebacker Payton Pierce from Lucas, Texas, on Tuesday. Here’s what you need to know:

Pierce is ranked No. 151 overall and No. 15 among linebackers in the 247Sports Composite.

He chose Ohio State over offers from Texas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M and many others.

He’s the 10th commitment in an Ohio State class that has pulled in five recruits since March 27 and three top-100 players in April: five-star receiver Mylan Graham (No. 27 overall), four-star running back James Peoples (No. 69) and four-star quarterback Air Noland (No. 84).
