According to multiple reports, including ESPN’s Kevin Weekes, the Chicago Blackhawks will sign Drew Commesso, who has been widely considered their goaltender of the future for a couple years, to his entry-level contract. According to NBC Sports Chicago, the deal will begin next season and run through the 2025-26 campaign.

When we know the financial terms of the deal, I’ll update this post.

Commesso, who will turn 21 on July 19, just completed his third season at Boston University. He posted a win in 24 of his 34 appearances for the Terriers this past season while recording a .913 save percentage and 2.46 goals against average. He was also his region’s Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA Tournament, helping BU advance to the Frozen Four.
