The Milwaukee Bucks are having another incredible season as they currently own the best record in the NBA at 47-18. They look poised to make another deep run into the postseason after winning the NBA Finals in 2021 and getting eliminated in the second round in 2022.
With Giannis Antetokounmpo playing at the level which he is, the Bucks are legitimate contenders once again. He will be in the running for his third MVP award as he is stuffing the stat sheet on a nightly basis.
While he is locked into playing for the Bucks for the foreseeable future, there are some people already looking ahead at what could be on the horizon. Antetokounmpo has two more guaranteed seasons on his contract before a player option for the 2025-26 season when he will be 31 years old.
It is early to make any kind of predictions, but it would be surprising if he didn’t opt out of that contract. It could be the last time he is able to sign a lucrative multi-year deal in his career and players always want to maximize their earnings.
