The American Athletic Conference released its 2023 football schedule Tuesday. Here’s what you need to know.

The AAC is a 14-team league this season, after losing Cincinnati, Houston and UCF to the Big 12 and adding Charlotte, FAU, North Texas, Rice UAB and UTSA from Conference USA.

The Group of 5’s New Year’s Six bowl spot has been awarded to the AAC champion in seven of the nine years since the format went into place. However, five of those seven NY6 berths went to schools now leaving the conference.

The league will remain at eight conference games and without divisions.
