Is Damian Lillard going to retire as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers at the end of his career? This is a question that has been on the minds of NBA fans for quite a while now.
There was no doubt that the Blazers would keep their franchise point guard whether or not they were in a serious competition for the NBA title.
There have been some who have disagreed with the approach that has been taken. It is widely believed that the Blazers are on a treadmill of mediocrity that they cannot escape. That argument may have some merit in some cases.
This seems to be especially true this season. Even so, it seems like the Blazers have no intention of trading Lillard in the near future.
They might as well make a big trade this summer if that’s the case in order to get him some help in the offseason if that’s the case.
There are many people who can help, such as Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors, for example.
