PICKWISE

Good morning Pickswise Nation and welcome to another busy day of sports. We have NBA and NHL action today, plus college basketball and soccer, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Hawks vs Blazers Same Game Parlay cashes
The Pickswise team ended Monday’s NBA slate on a high note as our Hawks vs Blazers Same Game Parlay cashed at +739 odds in a 129-125 win for the Blazers. Earlier, the Magic had upset the 76ers as 9-point underdogs, winning 119-109, while the Nets beat the Lakers 121-104.

Perfect day in the NHL!
There was only one game in the NHL on Monday, but we cashed our Jets 3-way ML pick as they beat the Blues 4-2 and also extended our hockey player props run to 17-6.

Big college basketball night in Texas
#10 Texas beat #11 Baylor 76-71 on Monday, while Texas Tech staged a huge comeback to beat #13 Iowa State 80-77 after overtime.

Today’s Slate

Lakers vs Knicks on TNT
There are 5 NBA games tonight, with TNT showing Lakers vs Knicks at 7:30 pm ET and Pelicans vs Nuggets at 10:00 pm ET.

3-game NHL slate
We have just 3 games in the NHL today, with Kings vs Hurricanes being shown on NHL Network at 7:00 pm ET.

There’s college hoops and soccer too
Kansas State vs Kansas catches the eye on today’s NCAAB slate, with Purdue and Alabama also in action and you can read our college basketball picks for all today’s games. We also have soccer picks for Newcastle vs Southampton in the Carabao Cup semifinals.

Best Bet of the Day

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers ML over New York Knicks
7:30 pm ET, TNT

The Lakers are trying to avoid a third straight defeat after the controversial loss to the Celtics and last night’s 121-104 defeat in Brooklyn, when both LeBron James and Anthony Davis sat out the game. They are expected back in the lineup tonight, which should give the LA a much-needed boost on both ends of the floor. LA’s biggest advantage will be the absence of New York’s Mitchell Robinson, which leaves a massive gap for them on the inside to exploit. That’s why the Knicks have struggled over their last 7 games, losing 5 of them. Their defense just isn’t there right now, 3 of their last 5 opponents have put up over 120 points against them and the high-paced Lakers will be a tough matchup.

Stat of the Day

Quote of the Day

“Not 100%, but it’s good. Did some good work.”

Luka Doncic’s ankle certainly seemed good enough as he scored 53 points against the Pistons.
