Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall withdrew from the transfer portal Sunday, 247Sports has learned.

McCall, who ranks as the No. 7 overall player in the 247Sports transfer rankings, initially entered the transfer portal on Dec. 12. He played in Coastal Carolina's bowl game earlier this month but left the game early due to an injury. McCall threw for 2,700 yards and 24 touchdowns against just 2 interceptions this season. 

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound McCall was initially expected to visit Auburn shortly into his recruiting process, but that visit was canceled, per a source, due to an academic issue.
