This edition of Thursday Night Football takes us to sunny California as the Las Vegas Raiders face off against the Los Angeles Rams. The Raiders have been surging recently with their offense finally coming together, while the Rams have been in the basement of the NFC West all season. I was so close to hitting my +1472 Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay, as all I needed was a Chris Godwin touchdown to complete it — which happened with just seconds left before being waived off due to a penalty.
I’m back with a vengeance for Thursday Night Football with an SGP that pays out at over 11/1 at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Over 44.5 (-105)
Cam Akers to score a touchdown (+140)
Davante Adams to score 2+ touchdowns (+330)
Same Game Parlay odds: +1148
Part of the value in Same Game Parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the plan here, as Cam Akers and Davante Adams scoring a touchdown would be good for the over. Let’s break down each of the SGP legs.
This Raiders vs Rams Same Game Parlay is available at FanDuel Sportsbook at +1148 odds.
Over 44.5 (-105)
There’s a chance we could see a shootout between Derek Carr and newly acquired Baker Mayfield on Thursday Night Football. Mayfield was acquired by the Rams on Tuesday in an attempt to solve their quarterback problems with Matthew Stafford sidelined. Los Angeles has started Bryce Perkins and John Wolford in the last 2 weeks, and they combined to go 27 for 49 for 278 yards and 4 interceptions. Mayfield has the opportunity to thrive under Sean McVay, and although the Rams are missing several important offensive personnel, there are still a few solid options like Van Jefferson and Tyler Higbee.
As for the Raiders, they average 29.67 points in their last 3 games. Josh Jacobs has been unstoppable in the last few weeks, and Davante Adams has seen his chemistry with Carr jump off the charts. This is a lower total, and with the thriving Las Vegas offense paired with 2 poor defenses, I’ll back the over.
Cam Akers to score a touchdown (+140)
It’s been a rough season for the defending Super Bowl champions. They have lost Stafford and Cooper Kupp to injuries and cut Darrell Henderson, so they have been thin on offense. That has given Cam Akers the chance to reclaim the lead running back position and he took advantage of that opportunity with 2 touchdowns this past Sunday. He can solidify himself as the lead back with another solid performance against a struggling Raiders defense. At this point in the season, Akers has become one of the only reliable options for the Rams. So that means if Los Angeles gets into the red zone, I expect several opportunities from Akers — who can put 6 points onto the board.
Davante Adams to score 2+ touchdowns (+330)
Davante Adams has scored 2 touchdowns or more 4 times this season. He has done it 3 times in the last 5 games, as his connection with Carr seems to be the best it has been all year. Adams averages 13.4 targets and 132.8 yards per game in Las Vegas’ last 5 games, which means he has an excellent opportunity for several scores on Thursday Night Football. He will be facing the Rams’ secondary which has been atrocious in recent weeks as they have allowed 320 passing yards or more in their last 2 games. Carr will look to attack the Los Angeles defense through the air, and that could grow even more since Jacobs is questionable for this matchup. The Raiders are without Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller, so Adams should continue to be Carr’s #1 target and find the endzone at least twice.
