We will all face disappointment in life. The key is responding to it effectively. NBA teams deal with disappointment too.

Say you tried out for the football team. Perhaps you applied for your dream job. You got rejected. Are you going to quit? 

At this point in the season, some teams are especially feeling it. By now, it’s fair to question whether a subpar performance is indicative of a team’s upside. 

Two teams who have been disappointing so far are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls. Both of these teams had playoff aspirations in 2022-23.

As of now, neither looks very close to making good on them. 

Could the two sides swing a big deal this season?
