A good, snowy morning to all in the Denver area. As my mom used to say to my unenthused, teenage laconic self: “You got some shovelin’ to do today.” But first, let’s do some hockey news and links, starting with what is likely to be a growing chorus of trade rumors from the peanut gallery regarding Chicago future Hall of Famer, Patrick Kane:
The Blackhawks are turning into the team everybody expected them to be – awful – after a fluky, fast start. The Blackhawks have two huge, highly-paid names on their payroll – Kane and Jonathan Toews.
At least one Chicago columnist thinks Kane will now be traded, and some rumor sites say the Avalanche is on his list of teams he’d consider a deal to. Elliotte Friedman said over the summer that he thinks Kane-to-Colorado could happen at some point.
I absolutely think the Avalanche would/will seriously consider trying to find a way to make a Kane deal work, if the Blackhawks truly are considering shopping him. Keep in mind, Kane has a full no-trade clause. He controls where he’d go, period.
