The Miami Hurricanes’ bad season could be starting to catch up with them in recruiting.

Jaden Rashada, the No. 7 ranked quarterback in the 2023 class from Pittsburg, Calif., flipped his commitment late Thursday night from the Hurricanes to the rival Florida Gators.

Rashada (6-4, 185) had been committed to Miami since June 26 — five days after taking his last official visit to Coral Gables. Two weeks prior, Rashada, the No. 57 overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite, visited Florida and appeared destined to commit to the Gators.
