Have you ever left someone, or something, and asked yourself what you were thinking in hindsight? NBA players and their teams are the same.
It could be a lover, a job, or a hometown. In any event, you surely have a reason for moving on when you decided to do so. In any event, some people will tell you it’s “too late to go back”.
Others will say that it never is.
Players may appear superhuman, but they’re people like you or I. They get emotionally attached to the jersey they’re wearing, just like you would.
At the same time, they sometimes are forced to acknowledge that it would be best for them to move on.
For example, Chris Paul had some of the best years of his career on the Los Angeles Clippers. He still thought it was in his best interest to leave. Could it now be in his best interest to return to them?
