Life, they say, comes at you quickly. In the NBA, it comes at you even faster.

Your team may be on the top now. Enjoy it while it lasts. Until they win an NBA championship, they could combust at any moment.

For example, look at the Phoenix Suns. They advanced to the NBA Finals in 2020-21. Last season, they only got as far as the Western Conference Semifinals, but they still won a league-best 64 games in the regular season. Yet, somehow, they almost fell apart this summer.

Regardless, the Suns are intact. They retained Restricted Free Agent Deandre Ayton, and appear poised to make another run at the title in 2022-23.

Yet, there is still an air of uncertainty around this team. Much of it stems from Chris Paul’s age. He’s 37, under contract for two more seasons, and based on last year’s postseason, potentially declining.

If the Suns see that as an issue, here’s a deal that sends the Point God to the Minnesota Timberwolves

Phoenix Suns Receive: G D’Angelo Russell

Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: G Chris Paul
