Steve Cohen may have bottomless pockets, but the Mets’ payroll appears to have a limit.

Though the team’s popular and filthy-rich owner was somewhat vague on his plans for the offseason with so many high-priced free agents — Jacob deGrom, Edwin Diaz, Chris Bassitt and Brandon Nimmo are the big names — Cohen did say he isn’t planning to go wild giving out huge deals.

The Mets’ payroll stands at $291.8 million, according to Spotrac, and it may not go up too much before next season.

“You should be able to build a pretty good team at $300 million,” he told The Post’s Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman on “The Show” podcast on Wednesday. “If you can’t do that, then that’s a problem.”
