Oklahoma added another key offensive piece to its rapidly improving 2023 recruiting class with the commitment of Daylan Smothers, a four-star running back from West Charlotte (N.C.) High School.

Smothers, ranked No. 218 nationally in the 247Sports Composite, also took official visits to Florida State and NC State and had reported offers from Alabama and Miami, among others.
