Alabama is the solo betting favorite at this point in the offseason, but Georgia — the reigning CFP champs — and Ohio State aren’t far behind. Check out the latest odds for the 2023 CFP National Championship.

The Georgia Bulldogs pulled off a thrilling — and dominant — victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide to win the 2022 CFP National Championship. They outscored Alabama 27-9 in the second half en route to a 33-18 win in order to snap a 41-year title drought and to finally topple the Crimson Tide.

Looking ahead to next season, these titans of college football are again atop the board to win it all in early betting odds, though Alabama has inched ahead of Georgia after the schools opened as co-favorites. Ohio State and Clemson are the only other programs with better than 10/1 odds at this point in the offseason.

Favorites to win the College Football National Championship

Alabama Crimson Tide (+180)

Nick Saban’s team has been a fixture in the National Championship game and atop betting boards for ages now. They’ve played in six of the eight CFP title games (winning three) since it switched from the BCS National Championship game in 2014. This program is as well-oiled a machine as you’ll find. So even with quarterback Bryce Young in the mix as the potential top pick in the NFL draft, oddsmakers aren’t betting against Alabama even after its loss to Georgia.

One significant change involves the addition of former Georgia wide receiver Jermaine Burton, who announced he would transfer to Alabama in May. Burton was second on the Bulldogs with 497 receiving yards and tied for second with five receiving touchdowns.
