Brooklyn and Salt Lake City have very little in common. In fact, culturally speaking, they may be on opposite ends of the United States’ cultural spectrum. On the one hand, you’ve got a bustling metropolitan area. New York City. Bright lights, celebrities, etc. NBA players choose to play there with a second career in mind.

On the other hand, you’ve got a quaint community that’s notoriously distinct from the rest of the country. If you see a celebrity in Utah, there’s a decent chance they play for the Jazz.

Yet, these two teams are in similar positions. Either one could fall apart at the seams this summer. Rumors surround both like vultures, waiting for either team to concede to defeat.

Perhaps the two sides could turn to each other for salvation. Could there be a trade available that would stave off the inevitable for each?

Rudy Gobert has become the focus of many trade rumors and for this Nets team, they could use a rim protector to anchor the unit. Interior defense was a concern and there’s no better answer than the best in the game.

Could that trade be one that sends Rudy Gobert to the Brooklyn Nets?
