Manchester United are in talks over a potential £65million swoop for Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong after the midfielder gave the green light to joining Erik ten Hag’s revolution.

It is understood the Holland international wants to join United this summer with the Old Trafford club accelerating their attempts to land the 25-year-old.

Sources close to the potential transfer have told Sportsmail that United have made an initial offer for De Jong, but the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement.

Barca are believed to want around £65million for the Dutchman.
