Michigan football players received dog tags this week commemorating last season's win over arch rival Ohio State, the Wolverines' first win in the series since 2011.
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh was showered with praise in the aftermath of a win that clinched the Big Ten East division for the Wolverines and pushed the program into its first Big Ten Championship appearance since the league was split into two divisions prior to the 2011 campaign. Harbaugh made good on his mid-summer promise to "beat Ohio State or die trying," as the Wolverines imposed their will at the line of scrimmage and twice responded with long touchdown drives in the fourth quarter to win, 42-27.
Michigan went on to blow out Iowa in the conference title game to reach the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.
