The Kansas Jayhawks' title defense efforts received a significant boost Wednesday when starting forward Jalen Wilson announced he will be returning to the program for the 2022-23 season. Wilson delivered his announcement via Instagram, withdrawing his name from the NBA Draft for the second consecutive season.
Wilson started 27 games for Kansas last season, including all six NCAA tournament games. In the championship clash against North Carolina, his 15 points matched his game-high for the season.
The forward averaged 11.1 points per game and a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game as a junior last season, earning Third Team All-Big 12 honors.
