Bradley Beal has been a fixture on the Washington Wizards for a long time. It feels like NBA trade rumors about his exit have existed for almost as long.
It makes sense. The Wizards haven’t advanced past the first round of the NBA playoffs since John Wall was his backcourt partner. This group seems to have hit a ceiling, and it may be time to rebuild.
On the other hand, the Dallas Mavericks are merely scratching the surface with their current core. They’re currently down 3-1 against the Golden State Warriors.
Even assuming they lose that series, it’s been a successful season for a team built around the 23-year-old Luka Doncic.
Still, it has appeared as though Doncic could use some help against the Warriors. The deeper the Mavericks advance into the playoffs, the more apparent their need for a true second option becomes. Bradley Beal would qualify.
Here are two trades that land him on the Dallas Mavericks.
Washingon Wizards Receive: G Jalen Brunson, G Tim Hardaway Jr., F Josh Green, 2027 First-Round Pick (DAL)
Dallas Mavericks Receive: G Bradley Beal
