LeBron James played as if he’d found the fountain of youth throughout the 2021-22 NBA season. Unfortunately, that’s about the only positive you could take away from the Los Angeles Lakers’ season.

Everybody else underperformed. Russell Westbrook looked entirely unable to fit with James.

Anthony Davis forgot how to shoot: probably because he was so frequently on the sidelines with injuries. The role players didn’t deliver.

The team’s season was a perfect example of Murphy’s Law: besides James’ production, everything that could have gone wrong did exactly that.

The Lakers will spend this summer finding ways to improve this roster. With limited cap space and draft capital, it won’t be easy. Still, with some creativity, they should be able to find a way.

Here are three suggestions for trades they could target to get LeBron James some help.

Charlotte Hornets Receive: G Russell Westbrook, 2027 First-Round Pick (LAL)

Los Angeles Lakers Receive: F Gordon Hayward, G Terry Rozier
