The University of Maryland and head football coach Mike Locksley have agreed to a five-year contract extension that runs through the 2026 season, the school announced Friday. The deal includes incentives that could extend it for an additional two years.

Locksley took over at the helm of the program in December 2018. The Terps had their first winning season since 2014 last year, going 7-6 with a win in the Pinstripe Bowl over Virginia Tech — the program's first bowl win since 2010.
