The Brooklyn Nets may have wedged themselves between a rock and a hard place as they enter the NBA offseason. The rock is Ben Simmons, and the hard place is Kyrie Irving.
Irving is an incredible talent. Regardless of how anyone may feel about his personal views and decisions, that’s undeniable.
Unfortunately, it feels like those same personal views and decisions routinely keep him off the basketball floor.
Why the Kevin Durant-Kyrie Irving relationship will fuel — or undermine — the Brooklyn Nets' future
Between that and Simmons’ regular feature on the IL, the Nets badly need stability. The 2021-22 season was a large disappointment for them. They entered the year as prohibitive title favorites. They finished it getting swept by the Boston Celtics.
Drastic changes may be coming. They probably won’t involve trading Irving. We still wouldn’t rule it out.
If it’s an option the Nets are considering, here are two trade packages that send Kyrie Irving to the LA Clippers.

LA Clippers Receive: G Kyrie Irving
