The Lakers have some crazy work to do this offseason after a failed regular season had so much hype never pan out in the way they thought it would.
On Wednesday’s “The Herd,” Colin Cowherd floated the idea of LA trading star big man Anthony Davis for a package of Klay Thompson and James Wiseman.”
“You go to the Warriors and you say ‘Listen,’” the FS1 host began. “‘Wiseman’s a mess we’ll take him. Klay’s getting in the way of Jordan Poole we’ll take him. You take Anthony Davis, he’ll give you the requisite size to beat a DeAndre Ayton, a Giannis, or an Embiid.’ … There’s something there, right?”
The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor stated that it addresses a need for the Lakers.
“LeBron James is about to be entering the 20th year of his NBA career, here. He’s nearing 40-years-old. For LeBron, he needs guys that are healthy and can shoot. … That’s the kind of deals the Lakers need to be angling for, is finding shooters.”
