Romelu Lukaku came back to Chelsea last summer in a shocking turn of events after a couple of terrific years at Inter Milan. However, things haven’t exactly gone to plan at Stamford Bridge and it now feels inevitable the Belgian will leave for the second time in the coming months. That being said, Inter is reportedly interested in a reunion with their former striker, per Italian outlet Calciomercato.
Lukaku won’t come cheap though after the Blues bought him for over $100 million, which means Inter could look to sign him on a season-long loan for the 2022-23 campaign. Lautaro Martinez is still being constantly linked to a move away from the club, while 36-year-old Edin Dzeko isn’t exactly in his twilight years anymore.
