The world of college football is filled with what-if moments. Among them, the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship Game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs sure has plenty of what-ifs across the board.

For one, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young entered the contest without his star wideout in John Metchie III, as the receiver suffered a season-ending ACL injury in the 2021 SEC Championship Game. He wound up not having wide receiver Jameson Williams for the bulk of the game, as he sustained a non-contact ACL injury in the second quarter of the matchup.
