Creighton guard Ryan Nembhard is currently leading the entire Big East in minutes played (945), but during Wednesday's win against St. John's, he went down with a wrist injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season.
The Bluejays freshman has captured six Big East Freshman of the Week honors and is averaging 11.3 points and a team-high 4.4 assists per game through 27 games (all starts). Nembhard's 35.0 minutes per game are the most by a Big East freshman in 10 years.
