The Winnipeg Jets will continue to play home games at Canada Life Centre and not in Saskatchewan, according to a letter addressed to season ticket holders from the Jets' chief operating officer and president John Olfert on Friday.

Fans were surveyed about the possibility of playing games in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, as a way of bypassing arena restrictions on fan attendance. Saskatoon is about an eight-hour drive from Winnipeg. The province of Manitoba is limiting attendance to 250 people in their venues. Saskatchewan does not have any restrictions on capacity. The current government restrictions are in effect until at least Feb. 1.

According to The Athletic's Murat Ates, Olfert says 40 percent of survey respondents answered negatively to the possibility of having games in Saskatchewan.
