The Indiana Pacers are one of the few teams that sound like they are ready to make some moves at the NBA trade deadline. For a while, there have been people saying that the Pacers needed to shake up their roster and it sounds as if they are finally ready to do so.
It was revealed recently that Indiana was ready to go into a rebuild. Herb Simon made it clear that it would not be a full tear down like the Philadelphia 76ers underwent with Sam Hinkie, but that they would not be afraid to see what some of their young players had.
Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, and Caris LeVert were three of the names mentioned as possibly being on the trade block. Jeremy Lamb, who is on an expiring contract, was someone mentioned as a trade candidate in the offseason and early parts of the regular season. There were some discussions about whether or not 24-year old rookie Chris Duarte would be made available as well.
One player we know who will not be on the move is Malcolm Brogdon. Some NBA trade rumors were floating around that the Pacers were not sure Brogdon was a fit as their long-term point guard, but prior to the season, they signed him to an extension.
