Penn State linebacker Brandon Smith declared for the 2022 NFL Draft and announced he won’t play for the Nittany Lions in the Outback Bowl.

“I will continue to work hard and do my best to represent my school and my family to the best of my ability on and off the field,” Smith wrote in his announcement on social media.

The 6-foot-3, 241-pound Smith is a well-regarded prospect in the draft class, and he has the opportunity to boost his stock in the pre-draft process like other former Penn State players before him.
