Alabama’s Bryce Young won the 87th Heisman Trophy, it was announced on Saturday night during a live ceremony in New York. Young, a sophomore, became the fourth Crimson Tide player and first Alabama quarterback to be named college football’s most outstanding player.

Through 13 games, Young has thrown for 4,322 yards, 43 touchdowns and four interceptions on 314-of-462 passing (68.0 percent). He ranks second nationally in passing touchdowns, fourth in passing yards, fifth in passer rating (175.53) and sixth in both passing yards per game (332.5) and yards per pass attempt (9.4). In the SEC, Young leads the league in passing touchdowns and is second in passing yards and third in passer rating and yards per attempt.
