Oklahoma lost its third five-star recruit of the week to USC on Friday, as Class of 2023 athlete Makai Lemon (Los Alamitos/Los Alamitos, Calif.) committed to the Trojans. Lemon is the No. 27 player in the nation in the Class of 2023 according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Lemon (6-foot, 180 pounds) decommitted from Oklahoma on Tuesday following head coach Lincoln Riley’s departure to USC. Lemon is a teammate of 2023 five-star quarterback Malachi Nelson, who also committed to the Sooners but flipped to USC on Tuesday.

Lemon joins Nelson and 2022 running back Raleek Brown as five-star recruits to decommit from OU and commit to USC this week. The early signing period for 2022 recruits starts Dec. 15.
