A high school basketball prospect who had recently signed to play for George Mason won't be allowed on the team after he was arrested Wednesday night on murder charges, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Cameron Walker, 17, a star player for Milton High School in Alpharetta, Georgia, and teammate Jonathan Murray, 18, are accused of killing 24-year old Connor Mediate on Oct. 14 during a drug deal.
Police took Walker and Murray into custody just "moments" after they played in Milton's game on Wednesday, the AJC reported. Following the arrest George Mason issued a statement that said Walker would not be allowed on the university's basketball team.
