The Baltimore Orioles and the Kansas City Royals meet in MLB action from Kauffman Stadium on Friday night.

The Baltimore Orioles will look to rebound from a 7-5 loss at the hands of KC in Thursday’s series opener. Trey Mancini leads the Orioles with 61 hits and a .303 batting average while Anthony Santander has team-highs of 9 home runs and 30 RBIs. Austin Hays also has 57 hits with 13 doubles as well on the year. Cedric Mullins also has 53 hits with 12 doubles, 6 homers and 20 RBIs as well this season. Bruce Zimmermann will start here and is 2-4 with a 4.87 ERA and 42 strikeouts this season.

The Kansas City Royals will look to build on their win over the O’s from Thursday’s series opener. Andrew Benintendi leads the Royals with 63 hits along with a .315 batting average and 21 RBIs while Salvador Perez has 8 home runs and 23 RBIs of his own. Perez has 10 doubles and Hunter Dozier has 10 doubles as well as a pair of triples and Bobby Witt Jr. has 13 doubles as well on the year. Witt Jr. also has a team-high 3 triples with 28 RBIs as well while Benintendi also has a pair of triples and Whit Merrifield has 25 RBIs as well this season. Jonathan Heasley will start here and is 0-3 with a 4.62 ERA and 15 strikeouts this season.

Baltimore is 23-68 in their last 91 road games and 13-38 in their last 51 games as a road underdog while the over is 6-1-1 in their last 8 games as an underdog. Kansas City is 2-8 in their last 10 home games and 16-37 in their last 53 games overall while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 home games against a left-handed starter.

I get the reasoning for backing either side here, but I’m going back to the well with the over here. Bruce Zimmermann has really regressed since his hot start to the year, allowing 20 runs in his last four starts, while Jonathan Heasley isn’t pitching like a guy that’s trying to keep a spot in the Royals’ rotation. All in all, I think this game has double-digits written all over it, especially looking at the pitching matchup alone. Give me the over here.
