The Winnipeg Jets (34-28-11) continue its road trip against the Montreal Canadiens (20-41-11) at Bell Centre Monday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (NHL Network). Below, we look at the Jets vs. Canadiens odds and lines, and make our expert NHL picks, predictions and bets.

The Jets picked up a 4-3 win against the Ottawa Senators Sunday, snapping a four-game losing streak. The last time they faced the Canadiens, the Jets came away with an 8-4 win, March 1, at MTS Centre.

The Canadiens fell, 3-2, Saturday in Toronto, failing to carry over the momentum from a 7-4 win in New Jersey Thursday. Montreal is a respectable 3-4-1 in the past eight outings.

Jets at Canadiens odds, spread and lines

  • Money line: Jets -145 (bet $145 to win $100) | Canadiens +120 (bet $100 to win $120)
  • Against the spread (ATS): Jets -1.5 (+165) | Canadiens +1.5 (-220)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 6.5 (O: -125 | U: +100)

Jets at Canadiens projected goalies

Eric Comrie (8-3-1, 2.68 GAA, .912 SV%) vs. Sam Montembeault (7-14-6, 3.61 GAA, .896 SV%, 1 SO)

Comrie is expected to start after Connor Hellebuyck started Sunday in Ottawa. He last appeared March 31 at Toronto, allowing six goals on 37 shots in a loss.

Montembeault also last faced the Leafs, coughing up two goals on 25 shots in a loss Saturday. That followed up a 2-3-2 record, 3.99 GAA and .867 SV% in seven starts in March.

Money line

The CANADIENS (+120) are worth a look as short ‘dogs at home, as the Jets (-145) have the quick turnaround after playing less than 24 hours ago in Ottawa. The Jets have dropped five of the past six meetings in this series, while the underdog is 15-7 in the past 22 battles overall, too.

Against the spread

The Canadiens +1.5 (-220) would cost you more than two times your potential return, and that’s just too much risk. Instead, just look to the money line if you like Montreal.

PASS.

Over/Under

OVER 6.5 (-125) is worth playing lightly.

The Over has connected in five of the past seven meetings at Bell Centre, while cashing in nine of the past 12 in the series overall.

The Over is also 5-1 in the past six road games for the Jets, while going 5-0 in the past five in the second end of a back-to-back set, too. The Over is 13-5-1 in the past 19 games overall for the Habs, while going 5-2-1 in the previous eight at home.
